Toro Albalá is a family-run winery with a long history spanning more than a century. Antonio Sánchez is the current head of the winery, an operation that has been recognised with many top international awards. It is also considered one of the 100 Spanish Gold Wineries - acknowledgement of our constancy in the vinegar elaboration career.
Antonio Sánchez was a visionary and the creative brains behind Toro Albala's vinegars. The local environment’s influence on the wine which is used as raw material for the vinegars, together with the long ageing in barrels, has resulted in some exceptional products.
The Gran Reserva has obtained the Gold medal in the VINAVIN Awards (Cordova) every year, the sector’s national and international most important contest. It has also been awarded a special acknowledgement from the Cordovan Deputation, in recognition of the excellence and know-how required to produce vinegars using traditional methods.
