The name Sciare is the Sicilian term for terrain which has emerged from the effects of lava flow. Romano Vincenzo's "Le Sciare" is made from a selection of olives of the Nocellara dell Etna variety, Tonda Iblea, Biancolilla in percentages varying from year to year. The olive groves are situated in the volcanic soils of Mount Etna in Sicily.
The oil has an opalescent with intense green hues. Aromas are medium fruity with a sense of freshly cut grass. To taste, it has bitterness balanced with spiciness and a tomato aftertaste;
An excellent choice as a dipping oil, on fresh salads and as a seasoning for legumes and roasts.
