In 1986 Francisco Riberas, one of the most respected Spanish businessmen, acquired the La Ventilla farm in El Carpio de Tajo (Toledo) to begin his association with the agriculture industry. He soon lent his special character to this new activity and over the years he has expanded the boundaries of that small business, creating a mosaic of crops and land uses.
Almost ten years later, in 1996, he started an ambitious transformation of the farm, successively planting up to 300,000 olive trees. The favourable growing conditions of the area, and the painstaking dedication to look after the trees, have resulted in a high yielding grove, producing olives of unique quality.
With a great respect and knowledge of the area, combining a peaceful enjoyment of the countryside with state-of-the-art agricultural management techniques, Casas De Hualdo have found a way of producing excellent extra virgin oils. The quality of their products pay homage to the family and all those who have had the privilege to work with Francisco Riberas.
The company is dedicated to working towards a sustainable future through the use of renewable energy and through a dedication to care of the land. In 2018 the installed a major solar project. In the same year they became ISO 14001 certified and also certified for production of their first organic olives.
